To me the essence of childhood can be truly felt in carefree moments of discovery, like the ones captured here as a pair of almost two-year-olds explored a farm and some tractors (special thanks to Charlie for the exclusive permission to shoot here!). Moments like these make me love photography even more, despite age two being the most difficult to traditionally capture.

This little girl is just one of the prettiest children you will ever see! I met up with her and her parents at their lovely home for a relaxed two-year-old session that included lots of time to goof off and be a little silly. I think her mom might have been a little worried that we did not get any decent shots, but she will be pleasantly surprised to see that there are lots of shots like these from which to from. The age of two is probably one of the most difficult ages to photograph since children are full of personality and yet are not usually inclined to follow directions or sit still, but I think we got some fun candid shots that reflect exactly who this little lady is at this stage. D + E, thank you for welcoming me into your home to capture this special time. I really enjoyed meeting you and can’t wait to photograph baby J in three months! So exciting!

I just love photographing tiny, brand new, sweet little baby newborns! And I had an especially wonderful time meeting 10-day-old baby Nicole yesterday! After doing her mom’s maternity portraits a few weeks ago, it was so nice to finally see who had been inside of that perfect baby bump. She was a great sleeper and we got tons of beautiful newborn images. In fact, I am going to have a really hard time narrowing down my favorites!
Check out the pitcture of her tiny baby toes! Nicole’s grandmother had given her mama a lovely ring engraved with baby Nicole’s name, and her mama wore the ring for our maternity session. And here it is on those tiny little toes!
Mom and dad, congratulations on the arrival of your perfect bundle of joy! I am so happy for you both and know little Nicole is so very loved! What a lucky baby girl to have you both! Thank you for choosing me to photograph this beautiful time in your lives! Enjoy your sneak peek!

I have to say that my recent maternity photography clients have not only been beautiful and sweet, but extremely successful as well. Just in the last couple of months, I have done maternity portraits for two attorneys, a physician, a veterinarian, and a couple of successful entrepreneurs. This group of babies is sure going to have some great role models!
This beautiful mama is no exception…she is funny, sweet and successful too! Not to mention beautiful and glowing. It was a pleasure meeting her and she had me laughing so hard that it is a wonder I was able to keep my camera still! I am looking forward to photographing baby “A” when he arrives!

Well, her perfect baby sister is here and I really enjoyed photographing her at one week of age.
